Why do Cambodians celebrate Pchum Ben? It is one of the country's biggest traditional festivals, observed every year, yet many of us have never had the main reason behind it explained clearly.
Made for Smart Axiata, this short animated video answers that question simply and warmly. It tells the story behind the festival and why Cambodians honour their ancestors, so that anyone watching, from children to grandparents, can understand the tradition they take part in.

The challenge was to explain a centuries-old tradition in just over a minute. We kept the story simple and the visuals clear, so the meaning of Pchum Ben comes through without needing any background, and so the video works just as well when shared on social media as it does on a big screen.
